Programme and Project Controls Specialist

Tetra Tech is seeking a skilled Programme and Project Controls Specialist to join our dynamic Project Controls team. This role will involve assisting the PMO Manager in overseeing the Programme Management Office (PMO) and ensuring high standards of project management practices.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project and programme management, with a proven track record of successfully supporting complex projects and programmes. You will be responsible for developing and implementing PMO strategies, policies, and procedures, as well as coordinating and monitoring the progress of projects and programmes.

About the Role:

  • Supporting the PMO Manager in overseeing the Programme Management Office (PMO), ensuring the effective delivery of projects and programmes while maintaining high standards of project management practices.
  • Developing and implementing PMO strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Providing support in the day-to-day management of the PMO.
  • Coordinating and monitoring the progress of projects and programmes.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Assisting in resolving project issues and mitigating risks.
  • Supporting the establishment and enforcement of governance frameworks.
  • Ensuring compliance with organisational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting in monitoring and reporting on project and programme performance.
  • Help managing resource allocation and capacity planning.
  • Assisting in managing the PMO budget and ensuring efficient use of resources.

About You:

  • You will need relevant qualifications or experience in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as APM (Association for Project Management), PRINCE2, or PMP are highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in project and programme management, ideally within a supervisory role.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of successfully supporting complex projects and programmes.
  • Experience in developing and implementing PMO processes and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with project management frameworks and best practices.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Tetra Tech offers a competitive benefits package, including flexible working arrangements and opportunities for professional development.
