About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Canterbury, Kent. As an experienced professional, you will assist the Project Surveyor with quantity surveying duties and provide effective financial and contractual control on all contracts allocated within the Southern Home Counties Business unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake costing activities, utilising a sound working knowledge of the cost coding structure for the project.
  • Measure completed works for allocated sections of the project, including recording agreements with client and/or subcontract representatives.
  • Provide comprehensive financial and surveying related information as required by senior management, including monthly performance review meetings.
  • Measure the works for payment and final account purposes.
Requirements
  • Experience in the main contracting market with a strong commercial awareness.
  • Desirable: DFE (education) experience and BSc or HND (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or other equivalent commercially related subject.
  • Strong knowledge of collating and/or producing site records necessary for interim and final account payments and cost reports, including materials received records.

What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £35-47,000 per annum.
