Senior Cybersecurity Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to join our team at Coventry Building Society. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for providing strategic expertise to ensure effective management of technical and business services for our security tooling across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Implement, transition, and support relevant security solutions to meet business requirements and architectural strategy.
- Create, quality, and govern technical and standards documentation to maintain a stable and consistent environment.
- Resolve production incidents or problems to meet operational needs and ensure business-as-usual service is maintained.
- 28 days holiday a year plus bank holidays and a holiday buy/sell scheme.

We are looking for an effective team member who takes responsibility for ensuring the team's success ahead of their own needs. You will be passionate about ensuring the business delivers a great customer service and experience. You will seek to understand how decisions impact the end user and ask questions to gain insight into the customer perspective and experience.
You will bring experience in Agile work practices and security-focused tooling, with a specialized emphasis on cybersecurity engineering. Your hands-on expertise includes implementing and managing security measures in both on-premise and cloud environments.
Your skills extend to performance tuning, proactive monitoring of cybersecurity solutions to identify and mitigate potential threats before they impact the organization.
You will have a strong understanding of change management processes and secure release procedures. You will have experience of ITIL-based service management framework and strong computer literacy, experience in using Microsoft Office products to create and manage documentation.
