Community Event Coordinator

Event Lead
We're looking for a highly motivated and organised individual to lead the delivery of impactful projects and high-profile events in our community.
As an Event Lead, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Town Council's 2025 programme of events, arts and tourism initiatives. This includes leading in the delivery of major events such as Armed Forces Day and Screen on the Green, as well as smaller events and activities including the Sandcastle Competition and Christmas Lights Switch on.
You will work closely with the communications and events team to research and engage with the community to shape the event programme to meet the vision and strategic objectives outlined in our new Event Strategy, as well as our Town Centre Strategy and its action plan.
The successful candidate will have excellent organisation, communication and research skills, with the ability to think creatively and manage their own workload of competing priorities. They will also have experience in managing events, marketing and business administration, and will be responsible for the Events, Marketing and Business Admin Support Apprentice.
