Learning Support Associate

About the Job:
\This paraeducator role is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with special needs. As an itinerant paraeducator, you will work closely with teachers and students to provide individualized support and promote student learning.
\The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of child development, and the ability to work effectively with students, young adults, and staff members. A background in education or a related field is preferred, but not required.
\Key Responsibilities:
\In this role, you will:

- Provide individualized support to students with special needs\
- Assist teachers with lesson planning and implementation\
- Monitor student behavior and provide feedback to teachers\
- Develop and implement behavioral interventions\
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create individualized education plans (IEPs)\
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress\
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge\
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records\\[/ul]\
Requirements:
\To be considered for this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of six months of experience working with children and adolescents. A bachelor's degree in education or a related field is preferred. Additionally, you must be able to pass a background check and obtain any necessary certifications or clearances.
\Working Conditions:
\This is a part-time position with a .750 FTE (60 hours bi-weekly) schedule and 10 months of working months. You will work in a variety of educational settings, including schools and community-based programs. You must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and move quickly and safely around the workplace.
\Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
