About the Job:

This paraeducator role is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with special needs. As an itinerant paraeducator, you will work closely with teachers and students to provide individualized support and promote student learning.

\

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of child development, and the ability to work effectively with students, young adults, and staff members. A background in education or a related field is preferred, but not required.

\

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • \
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs\
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning and implementation\
  • Monitor student behavior and provide feedback to teachers\
  • Develop and implement behavioral interventions\
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create individualized education plans (IEPs)\
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress\
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge\
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records\\[/ul]\

Requirements:

\

To be considered for this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of six months of experience working with children and adolescents. A bachelor's degree in education or a related field is preferred. Additionally, you must be able to pass a background check and obtain any necessary certifications or clearances.

\

Working Conditions:

\

This is a part-time position with a .750 FTE (60 hours bi-weekly) schedule and 10 months of working months. You will work in a variety of educational settings, including schools and community-based programs. You must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and move quickly and safely around the workplace.

\

Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
