About the Role

The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Medical Equipment Service Specialist to join their team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on medical equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
  • Conduct quality control checks on equipment and supplies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and records, providing accurate and up-to-date information for clinical staff.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve equipment-related issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and equipment, applying knowledge and skills to improve service delivery.
Requirements
  • Degree in electronic/clinical engineering or equivalent, with a strong foundation in medical equipment maintenance.
  • Significant experience in servicing, repairing, and calibration of medical equipment, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills, with the ability to apply them in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
