About the Role

This role involves developing reports, maintaining databases, and working closely with the system developers and Digital Education team to meet the college's reporting and data objectives. As our Data Analyst and Report Writer, you will support the college's data reporting needs by creating and managing reports using SQL and Power BI.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, and maintain SQL queries for data extraction and reporting purposes.
  • Create and manage reports using SQL and Power BI to support various college departments.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the data management system is optimised.
  • Assist the team in troubleshooting and maintaining reports and databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Support with data analysis requests and ad hoc report creation for internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain documentation for data processes and reports.
  • Provide user training and support for Power BI and SQL reports.
Requirements
  • Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths.
  • Level 3 IT qualification or relevant experience.
  • A good understanding of the SQL language with an ability to write SQL statements with clear and easily readable code.
  • Experience working with SQL and report writing in an education or corporate environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (MSMS).
  • Knowledge of Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
