We're seeking a highly skilled Banqueting Operations Manager to join our dynamic team at Silverstone. As a key member of our Corporate & Hospitality Events Team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional events that exceed client expectations.
About the Role
In this exciting opportunity, you will oversee all aspects of event management, including catering, AV, security, cleaning, and health and safety. You will work closely with our Corporate Duty and Senior Events Managers to deliver first-class events that meet client briefs and budget requirements.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop the skills of our Front of House (FOH) catering team, ensuring they provide exceptional service to clients.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Events Staffing Manager to plan staffing levels, aligning them with budget and ratio allowances.
- Coordinate the ordering and installation of IT requirements, including tills and PDQ machines, to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Plan and organize equipment for events, sourcing preferred suppliers to meet deadlines.
- Liaise daily with our kitchen team to ensure smooth service delivery throughout the events calendar.
- Follow SOPs for food and beverage operations, maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Support training and development schedules for FOH staff, working closely with the Staffing Manager.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and budgets are respected.
- Attend regular team meetings to stay updated on business objectives and projects.
- Coordinate event planning, execution, and de-rigging, returning areas to company standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal departments, ensuring events align with other activities on-site.
- Accurately record and communicate event information to stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Support the reporting process for event financials, providing timely and accurate updates to the Conference & Banqueting Manager.
- Maintain compliance with relevant Health & Safety, Food Safety regulations, and Licensing laws.
- Provide hands-on support and delivery as required, ensuring exceptional customer experiences.
About You
We're looking for an experienced professional with a minimum 3 years' background in Conference and Banqueting, Hospitality, or events management. You should hold a Level 2 Food Health & Safety qualification and possess excellent customer awareness and communication skills. A clean UK driving license is essential, with knowledge of food handling, COSHH, and HACCP desirable.
