Job Title: Hygiene Operative

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hygiene Operative to join our team at Greencore Group. As a Hygiene Operative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene in our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out daily cleaning of all areas of the factory, including equipment and machinery, to meet food hygiene standards.
  • Schedule and conduct deep cleaning of large machinery and equipment.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, including chemical suits, visors, wellingtons, gloves, and safety goggles.
  • Work in chilled and hot environments, adhering to strict temperature controls.
  • Fill out paperwork to document cleaning activities and maintain accurate records.
  • Promote a good health and safety culture within the workplace.
  • Use and store chemicals safely and in accordance with COSHH regulations.
  • Report any damaged equipment or machinery to the relevant authorities.
Requirements:
  • Basic understanding of English, both verbal and written.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage, but not essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
