Job Title: Lead Installation Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Installation Engineer to join our team at First Recruitment Group. As a Lead Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in the development of installation analysis scope packages, including flexible and umbilical cable lay, structure and mooring installation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop Installation Analysis Scope Packages: Develop comprehensive installation analysis scope packages, including flexible and umbilical cable lay, structure and mooring installation.
  2. Lead a Team of Engineers: Lead a team of engineers in the development of installation analysis scope packages, ensuring timely completion and high-quality deliverables.
  3. Coordinate Analysis Scope: Coordinate the analysis scope of static flexible flowlines and jumpers, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  4. Support Training and Continuous Improvement: Support various training and continuous improvement initiatives, including developing internal tools, guidelines, templates, and training material.
  5. Encourage Knowledge Sharing: Encourage knowledge sharing within the discipline, promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  6. Support Trainees and Less Experienced Engineers: Support trainees and less experienced engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their success.
  7. Identify Scope of Work: Identify the scope of work, specifications, schedule, and inter-discipline requirements at the start of a project or tender.
  8. Understand Project/Client Expectations: Understand project/client expectations and gather applicable past lessons learned.
  9. Identify Project Interfaces: Identify the required project interfaces and agree on a schedule and resource plan with department managers.
  10. Organize KOM Meetings: Organize KOM meetings with the analysis team, installation method team, discipline managers, and project engineering manager.
  11. Assist in Estimate Preparation: Assist in the preparation of estimates for bid proposals, including technical query reviews, execution statements, and manhour estimates.
  12. Prepare Discipline Engineering Design Basis: Prepare discipline engineering design basis, philosophies, technical specifications, and design reports as required during a project or tender.
  13. Perform and Review OrcaFlex Analysis: Perform and review the OrcaFlex analysis, ensuring it adheres to the agreed design brief and basis.
  14. Deliver Project Interface: Deliver relevant project interface and ensure alignment with other design engineering departments, installation method engineers, SPS suppliers, client, engineering managers, and flexible/umbilical engineers.
  15. Organize Regular Meetings: Organize regular meetings with the analysis team and maintain the action register.
  16. Issue Regular Reporting: Issue regular reporting, including document progress, resource mobilization planning, manhour tracking, and ensure technical changes with respect to the base scope are tracked properly.
  17. Attend Project Review Meetings: Attend project review meetings, vendor meetings, and engineering meetings organized by other disciplines.
  18. Organize and Chair Analysis Engineering Review: Organize and chair the analysis engineering review (internal and external).
  19. Participate in Customer and Third-Party Technical Audits: Participate in customer and third-party technical audits on engineering deliverables and vendor documents.

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Installation Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical/Structural/Civil/Hydrodynamic engineering. A Master's degree or PhD is preferred. Relevant experience in the oil and gas industry or equivalent, with a preference in EPCI contractor or consultant predominantly performing construction and installation design.
