Job Summary:

MRD Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Deliver exceptional results by effectively managing productivity levels, achieving forecasted targets, and maintaining budgeted costs.
  • Shift Management: Take ownership of shift plans, updating senior management regularly on progress, and supporting the General Manager to develop a plan in line with forecasted volumes.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensure high performance across all warehouse areas by adhering to standards, promoting consistency, and driving compliance with quality, service, safety, and security protocols.
  • Resource Management: Maximize productivity levels by managing resource requirements closely, minimizing indirect costs, and understanding their impact on the operation.
  • Team Leadership: Lead your team through setting high standards in all people aspects, including recruitment, onboarding, induction, attrition, sickness, absence, employee relations, development, and recognition.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to the legal requirements of the O license and work closely with the Transport Manager to ensure safe and legal practices are prioritized.
  • Health and Safety: Monitor quality, highlight continuous improvement solutions, and ensure the team is briefed on changes and trained to achieve targets.

Requirements:

  • Education and Qualifications: Full driving license, good maths and English skills, PC literacy, IOSH qualification, and experience working with a large team of diverse colleagues.
  • Experience: Good knowledge and experience in operational processes, experience working in a fast-paced, performance-driven business with key focuses on delivering budgets, KPIs, and SLAs, and experience working to O License regulations or willingness to be trained.
