Job Description

In this exciting role, you will work as a Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist in our Essex Perinatal Mental Health Service (PMHS). As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality support and intervention to mothers, their infants, and their families. With your expertise in perinatal psychology, you will help us deliver exceptional care and develop innovative services that meet the needs of our patients.

About the Role
  • You will be responsible for providing specialist psychological assessment and treatment to clients across various care settings, including community and primary care.
  • With your knowledge of trauma-focused approaches, you will contribute to the development of perinatal psychology services and lead on pathway and interface development with local stakeholders and partner agencies.
  • You will also provide clinical leadership and support to the PMHS, as well as supporting the ongoing service development of both perinatal psychology and the perinatal service.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver supervision and consultation to the PMHS staff.
  • Support the development of junior psychologists and non-psychology staff.
  • Contribute to the development of Perinatal Psychology within the trust and externally through attendance at CPD and network events.
