About the Role: As a Calibration Laboratory Engineer, you will play a vital role in maximising customer satisfaction by conducting equipment inspections, analysis, fault finding, repairs, and calibrations to support quotes and reports. You will authorise certificates and reports as per the laboratory's policies and procedures, travel nationally and internationally for services, maintenance, and calibration of customers' equipment on-site, provide training, and receive product and service training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct equipment inspections, analysis, fault finding, repairs, and calibrations to support quotes and reports.
  • Authorise certificates and reports as per the laboratory's policies and procedures.
  • Travel nationally and internationally for services, maintenance, and calibration of customers' equipment on-site, as well as provide training and receive product and service training.
  • Support internal and external assessments and regulatory audits.
  • Ensure high-quality results and zero customer complaints and deviations by following the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Maintain all laboratory resources, ensuring traceability.
  • Assist with implementing systems to ensure compliance with data integrity.
  • Support achieving laboratory KPIs aligned with company overall KPIs.
  • Provide relevant product, service, and calibration training to internal staff (onboarding process to new engineers).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint O365 and JobCard (IndySoft) system.
  • Proficiency in using various calibration software and tools.
  • Clean driver's licence and residence within Wolverhampton area.
  • UK-based role with element of travel for field service support tasks.

Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
