Job Summary

Alstom is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Support Analysis Designer to join our team in Derby. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing logistics support analysis systems that ensure the efficient maintenance and support of our rail systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Influence the design for integration of maintainability constraints, including requirements for predictive maintenance and consideration of all aspects to achieve services readiness in equipment design.
  • Manage and execute logistics support analysis activities to deliver quality, cost, and delivery commitments in coordination with the ISR management plan.
  • Identify life cycle cost performance in compliance with design for serviceability targets.
  • Define maintenance plans and designs for logistics support analysis elements, including maintenance task analysis, life cycle cost, life of rolling stock allocation, and reliability-centered maintenance.
  • Define spare part allocation and capitalize data in the central ISR repository (ILS PDM).
  • Write logistics support management plans and ensure technical interfaces with rail systems, components, signaling, and infrastructure teams.
  • Ensure design for serviceability is correctly applied to subsystems (component sites).
  • Manage definition of logistic breakdown structure in consistency with design engineering bill of materials definitions.
  • Elaborate maintenance plans and life cycle cost calculations and analyses.
  • Manage relationships with procurement for ISR requirements and ensure logistics support databases (ILS PDM) are defined and completed correctly.
  • Ensure compliance between spare part consumption models and maintenance strategies.
  • Validate content of technical maintenance documentation and promote usage of standard ISR practices compliant with international standards or Alstom central procedures and methods.
  • Capitalize data to improve quality, cost, and delivery on future projects.

  • Engineering university degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in the development of maintenance strategies and methods.
  • Strong experience in a previous similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK rolling stock maintenance – nice to have.
  • Experience in maintenance execution.
  • Experience in design for serviceability and logistics support engineering – desirable.
  • Competencies and skills:
    • English fluent – good level.
    • People management.
    • Standard knowledge of main logistics support analysis elements (RAMS, LORA, RCM, LCC).
    • Communication skills.
    • Technically competent.
    • Solid decision-making and critical thinking.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Strong team player.
