We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at an SEN Provision in the York area. The school is a 'Good' rated innovative provider of education and care, supporting students with complex needs related to SEMH difficulties, Asperger's Syndrome, Autism, and other conditions.
Your role will be to support a group of pupils who are struggling to regulate their behaviour due to their mental health conditions. You will work closely with the class teacher to provide high-quality, challenging, and differentiated educational activities and experiences, aiming to help pupils achieve their full potential in all areas of learning.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be patient, understanding, and empathetic, with a nurturing approach to supporting pupils with complex needs. You will also need to be flexible and able to remain calm in stressful situations.

Key responsibilities:
