About the Role:

  • Manage daily operations and maintenance of school buildings, grounds, and facilities to ensure a safe learning environment.
  • Schedule and supervise routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections for all school facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and manage facilities budget, including forecasting expenses, tracking costs, and optimising resource allocation.
  • Lead and manage facilities team, providing training and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure all facilities meet local council and government safety standards; conduct regular safety inspections and implement necessary improvements.
  • Liaise with school leadership, staff, and community to address facilities-related needs and enhance overall school operations.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in facilities management or related field, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage diverse team of maintenance and facilities staff effectively.
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects at once, ensuring timely completion within budget.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and external contractors.
  • Familiarity with building maintenance systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and grounds keeping.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to manage facilities operations and maintenance schedules.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £45,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience. Other benefits include car park on site, excellent induction programme, and referral scheme.
