About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Emergency Response Volunteer to join our team at the Volunteer Centre Harlow. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for responding to emergencies in the Harlow area.

Your duties will include:

  • Supporting communities before, during, and after emergency situations
  • Distributing essential items such as clothing, food, and other necessities
  • Providing emotional support to those affected by emergencies

To be successful in this role, you will need to commit to a minimum of 24 hours per month, typically over two 12-hour shifts. Additionally, you should have basic office/IT/admin skills, reasonable communication abilities, and a valid driving license with access to a vehicle within 30 minutes of Harlow Fire Station. This is a long-term commitment, and we require volunteers to be at least 18 years old for a period of 12 months or more.

Salary:£18.00-£25.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
