About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Consultant - Project Controls & Performance to join our Programme Advisory team at Turner & Townsend Group.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead Project Controls & Performance Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of client environments to identify challenges and develop tailored solutions to achieve desired outcomes.
  2. Develop and Implement PMO & Controls & Performance Strategies: Design and implement effective Project Management Office (PMO) and controls & performance strategies to drive business transformation and improve project delivery.
  3. Lead Analysis and Reporting: Analyze complex data, define findings, and write comprehensive reports to inform client decision-making.
  4. Deliver Workshops and Training: Design and deliver workshops in virtual and face-to-face environments to educate clients on project controls & performance best practices.
  5. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with diverse teams to represent Turner & Townsend Group at client sites and virtually.
  6. Deploy Established Methodologies and Tools: Utilize established methodologies, processes, tools, and systems to drive project delivery and improve client outcomes.
  7. Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Participate in the development and improvement of project controls & performance methodologies and tools.
  8. Drive Business Generation: Lead business generation activities, including bid development and proposal writing, to drive revenue growth.
  9. Engage in Marketing and Social Media Campaigns: Participate in marketing and social media campaigns to promote Turner & Townsend Group's services and expertise.
Requirements
  1. Experience in Project Controls: 3-5 years of experience in project controls, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  2. Industry Experience: Relevant industry experience, preferably in the infrastructure sector, with a focus on capital projects and programmes.
  3. Capability and Maturity Assessments: Familiarity with conducting capability and maturity assessments across capital delivery businesses, PMO, controls & performance, or specific functions.
  4. Controls & Performance Integrated Processes: Experience with developing and implementing controls & performance integrated processes and digital solutions to create a 'one version of the truth' and enable informed decision-making.
  5. Reporting and Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to write and present reports, navigate complex stakeholder environments, and engage with C-suite level client teams.
  6. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Office 365 applications, diagramming tools, online whiteboarding tools, team collaboration tools, and specialist controls & performance software tools.
  7. Business Transformation and Change Management: Experience with business transformation programmes and change management would be advantageous.
  8. Strategy and Organisational Design: Understanding of strategy and set-up of target operating models and organisational design in the context of capital infrastructure delivery businesses, integrated controls & performance functions, or PMO set-ups would be advantageous.
  9. Certifications: APM, PMI, or similar certification or equivalent experience would be advantageous.
