Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Access Planner to join our team at West Midlands Metro. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with all infrastructure system access planning activities, including reviewing Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS), generating Permits to Work (PTWs), and supporting the coordination of possessions.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist with the coordination of the PTW system for contractors and internal teams.
* Attend site visits to support contractors and stakeholders with safe working practices.
* Infrastructure Planning: Assist the Infrastructure Department with resource planning for possessions, permits, and rectification works. Coordinate contractor activities for the successful delivery of projects.
* System Management: Support the update and maintenance of the Asset Management Information System (AMIS) and SharePoint, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

Requirements:

* A strong knowledge of safe systems of work (SSOW) requirements, including the ability to assess risks, implement control measures, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
* GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above
* Engineering-related NVQ Level 2 qualification or higher
