About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for providing technical publications support to our ILS programme leads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support and specialist advice to ILS programme leads on technical publications requirements.
  • Generate Aircrew Publications and produce technical publications to industry-standard specifications.
  • Validate publications to ensure a high-standard of technical publication production.
  • Support continuous improvement of technical publications processes and performance measurements.
  • Develop and support databases for internal LM MF765 process, Technical Publications Graphics Library, and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) Technical Manuals.
  • Carry out Problem Tracking Reports (PTR) assessments and raise associated MF765s to close-out tasks.
  • Support the management of CIETP updates, amendments, and Corrections (F765's) for LM programmes.
  • Provide support to the coordination of deliveries and updates to technical publications.
  • Provide ILS interface to LM at Merlin Training Facility (MTF) at RNAS Culdrose.
  • Provide Technical Publications support and maintain the Merlin Logistics Support Analysis Records (LSAR) for LM workshare.
  • Prepare Special Category Work (SCW) claims and support EPRMs and review meetings.
  • Comply with legislative requirements and Company and department procedures.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in aerospace, including 5 years in military or commercial sectors.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience using Framemaker software.
  • Detailed experience of authoring Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) content, specifically Air Publications or Books of Reference (BRs).
  • Knowledge and experience of producing Data Module content for Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETP).
  • Understanding of Def Stan 0060/00600 and Defence Logistics Framework (DLF) requirements.
  • Knowledge and experience of ILS disciplines and associated interactions.
