About the Role

DigiKape Resourcing is a leading recruitment agency, specialising in filling ad hoc shifts and providing temporary and permanent placements for both public and private sectors. We are currently seeking a Grant Officer- Housing Improvements to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a Borough-wide service to all customers, with a focus on older people and individuals with disabilities.
  • Communicate effectively with a wide and varied customer base, including internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage a busy office, ensuring that systems, processes, and procedures are in place to support a high-quality service.
  • Assess financial eligibility for grants and loans, and provide guidance on welfare rights and benefits.
  • Produce formal approvals, purchase orders, and invoices, and initiate payments to contractors and other relevant bodies.
  • Work on own initiative, managing own workload to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Deal with legal enquiries and administer housing grants and loans from initial referral to completion of works.
Requirements
  • Strong customer focus and ability to work with a wide and varied customer base.
  • Knowledge of welfare rights, benefits, and financial assessments.
  • Experience of working with older people and individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to demonstrate a genuine commitment to work to consistently high standards.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage own workload.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including Flare Database and Agresso.
What We Offer

This is a 36 hour post/5 day week, with the main work base in Sefton. The role involves working from home with access to the office. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, and the opportunity to work with a leading recruitment agency.
