Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Instructional Designer to join our team at Babington. As a purpose-driven organisation, we're committed to developing better futures for individuals, organisations, and society.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end digital and in-person learning experiences for apprenticeships and commercial offerings, using Instructional Design theory to develop storyboards, scripts, workshops, videos, and immersive learning experiences for Babington's diverse learner populations.
  • Create learner-centric blended learning solutions, using diverse content formats such as e-learning, workshops, handouts, videos, on-the-job activities, and interactive learning exercises.
  • Storyboard and script content for all learning assets, including video, immersive learning, digital, and physical learning resources.
  • Lead and manage projects to ensure consistent and effective learning experiences are created and learning objectives are met.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years of Instructional Design/Learning Design experience, ideally in the apprenticeship sector.
  • Experience of designing blended learning solutions for apprenticeships and/or professional qualifications.
  • Ability to apply creativity and design thinking to communicate visual stories and solve customer problems with creative conceptual solutions.
  • Understanding of Articulate Rise and/or Storyline, and how to create clear design guides for development.
