Support Worker for Young Lady with ADHD

We are seeking a Support Worker to enable a 16-year-old young lady with ADHD and Global Development Delay to access activities in the community and develop her independence skills.
Main DutiesThe successful applicant will provide support for the young lady, enabling her to attend the gym every Thursday, either morning or afternoon for 3 hours. Following the gym, she would like to go into town for coffee, to the library or shops and have the support to develop her social skills and confidence.
There are also 2 hours every other Friday, and times and activities will be discussed with suitable applicants at interview, as there is some flexibility around this.
The ideal candidate will have similar interests so that the young lady can engage with them and feel comfortable being in the community.
Hours3 hours per week every Thursday, morning or afternoon. 2 hours every other week on Fridays; times to be discussed and agreed at interview.
Rate of Pay£13.09 per hour. Holidays are 5.6 weeks per year pro-rata. Any out-of-pocket expenses will be met by the employer.
Person Specification- Be able to respond positively to any changes in behaviour.
- Have a high degree of initiative.
- Have a positive understanding and genuine interest in supporting young people with complex needs within their communities.
- Be punctual and reliable as the young person cannot be left unsupervised.
- Have a happy, positive and caring nature.
- Respect confidentiality.
An Enhanced DBS check is required - cost to be met by employer.
