Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineers

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Harwich International Port. As a key member of our Engineering Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our heavy plant and machinery equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on heavy plant and machinery equipment, including linkspans, bridges, material handling equipment, and electrical installations.
  • Provide an on-call service outside of rostered shift times to support Operations and ensure the optimal condition and availability of Port Equipment and Vehicles.
  • Undertake engineering operations in the alteration and modification of heavy plant, machinery, equipment, and commercial vehicles.
  • Ensure prioritization of work to meet the business needs of the Port and enhance equipment safety, performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Accurately book in and out items of stock, spares, and parts from the stores using MAXIMO.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Level 3 Qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds) or ONC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • Ability to analyze and diagnose complex faults from limited data and history, making decisions on whether equipment is safe to operate.
  • Ability to work proactively and unsupervised, either independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to organize and complete work efficiently and effectively within required timescales.
  • Full UK driving license.
