Buoy Yard Electrical Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Technician to join our team at the Harwich Depot. As a key member of the Buoy Yard Team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and construction of buoyage systems, including building, inspecting, testing, and commissioning complex buoy designs, telemetry systems, and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and construction of buoyage systems
  • Building, inspecting, testing, and commissioning complex buoy designs, telemetry systems, and associated equipment
  • Carrying out electrical maintenance activities on plant, utility systems, and equipment across the depot and wider estate
  • Organising and planning to fulfil the role, including writing technical reports

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • 18th edition wiring regulations
  • Highly developed IT skills and experience of working with remote monitoring and control systems desirable
