Job Overview

The NHS is seeking an experienced Theatre Nurse Team Leader to join their team at Colchester General Hospital.

This role offers a competitive salary of £21.80 per hour for day shifts, £28.33 per hour for Saturday and night shifts, and £34.87 per hour for Sunday and bank holidays.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Nurse Team Leader to lead our theatre scrub team in providing high-quality patient care.

Your responsibilities will include assessing patient care needs, implementing and maintaining agreed standards of care, and following codes of professional practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the assessment of patient care needs and implement agreed standards of care.
  • FOLLOWING CODES OF PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE PROVIDE HIGH QUALITY CARE TO PATIENTS UNDERGOING TREATMENT WITHIN THE PERI-OPERATIVE ENVIRONMENT.
  • An integral part of the inter-hospital transfer team, supporting the transfer of critically ill patients by road or air.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 6 months paid experience as a Nurse Team Leader in an acute hospital environment within the last 3 years.

You will also need to provide evidence of your NMC registration and degree/diploma in nursing.
