Teacher Leader for Neurodiverse Learners

The Teacher Leader for Neurodiverse Learners will play a key role in supporting the development of inclusive education practices in our schools. This includes working with autistic learners and those under assessment for ASD, their schools, families, and other professionals to create a more inclusive education environment.
About the JobThis is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher to join our team of experienced autism Specialist Teachers and Teaching Assistants. The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of the needs of autistic learners and their implications for communication, teaching, and learning. They will also have evidence of ongoing CPD within the field of autism and experience of leading school-based improvement projects.
We are looking for someone who has secure knowledge and evidence of understanding both local and national initiatives and developments in relation to ALN, emotional health, and wellbeing needs and the new curriculum. They should also have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Work with autistic learners and those under assessment for ASD, their schools, families, and other professionals to create a more inclusive education environment.
- Raise awareness, increase expertise, and knowledge about autism in our schools through training and support.
- Lead school-based improvement projects to improve outcomes for autistic learners.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local and national partners to ensure that our schools are aware of and able to access the latest research and best practices in autism education.
- A sound understanding of the range of needs of autistic learners and their implications for communication, teaching, and learning.
- Evidence of ongoing CPD within the field of autism.
- Experience of leading school-based improvement projects in this area.
- Secure knowledge and evidence of understanding both local and national initiatives and developments in relation to ALN, emotional health, and wellbeing needs and the new curriculum.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
£45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
