Join our team as a Quality Assurance Expert and play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and quality of data used by Newcastle University. As a Data and Quality Manager, you will develop and implement systems and processes to meet the highest standards of data management.

This exciting opportunity is part of the NIHR Research Support Service (RSS) delivered by Newcastle University and Partners. You will work closely with the RSS Chief Operating Officer and Operations Manager to prepare and present reports on RSS activity, helping inform decision making and investment priorities.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Develop and maintain databases to support data capture and monitoring.
  2. Implement the RSS Quality Management Framework.
  3. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, quality, and reliability.
  4. Prepare and present reports on RSS activity to senior management.
Person Specification
  1. Degree qualified or significant vocational experience in operations roles with a focus on data management.
  2. Excellent IT skills, including database management, spreadsheet analysis, and reporting.
  3. Ability to lead projects, develop project plans, and monitor delivery against agreed timescales.
  4. Strong understanding of confidentiality, information governance, and data protection regulations.
