Head of Service – A Key Leadership Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Service to join our client, a global digital technology business, based out of the London office (hybrid working 2/3 days in the office). As the Head of Service, you'll be responsible for managing all live services and digital assets, as well as the suppliers, vendors, and customers related to these services.

You will report directly to the Technology Director and will be expected to work with our cross-functional teams, business stakeholders both in the UK and Europe, alongside Senior Leaders across all operational regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 4 direct reports
  • Define a robust monitoring system that spans 15,000 devices and 13 different countries
  • Ensure operational excellence in managing 24x7 operational systems and third-party vendor relationships
  • Oversee critically important systems and large-scale program management
  • Articulate complex technical solutions in a business-friendly manner to senior stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in a technical leadership role within a Managed Service environment
  • Proven ability to manage Network Operations Centers (NOC), third-party suppliers, and enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Experience within digital asset devices
  • Experience in managing 24x7 operational systems and third-party vendor relationships
  • Prior experience overseeing critically important systems and large-scale program management, ensuring operational excellence
  • Proficiency with various network monitoring systems
  • Hands-on experience with incident and change management using ITIL methodology
  • Approachable and proactive, with excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders
  • Highly organized and structured, with strong attention to detail and quality
