Product Development Lead

As a Product Development Lead, you will be responsible for spearheading the design and development of cutting-edge projects, managing serial development projects, and conducting technical analysis and feasibility studies to optimise product designs for performance and manufacturability.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the design and development process of systems, from concept to production, incorporating advanced technologies.
- Manage serial development projects, ensuring a seamless transition from prototype to mass production while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct technical analysis and feasibility studies to optimise product designs for performance and manufacturability.
- Oversee prototyping and testing phases, ensuring products meet regulatory standards and customer requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and reliability.
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
- A solid understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly sheet metal construction.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a good foundation in electrical understanding of 3 phase machinery and equipment.
Salary Information:
The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
