We are seeking an experienced Health and Wellness Manager to join our Corporate Health and Safety Team at Hatched Recruitment UK. As a key member of the team, you will provide expert advice and support across the Council's departments, teams, premises, and schools, ensuring a safe working environment for all.

Job Description:
  • Conduct thorough health and safety audits of Council teams, premises, and services, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Develop and deliver tailored health and safety training programs to various Council departments, premises managers, and schools.
  • Act as a consultant on a wide range of health, safety, and welfare issues, providing practical advice and guidance to teams across the Council and schools.
  • Promote a proactive approach to health and safety management within the organisation, identifying potential risks and implementing measures to mitigate them.
Requirements:
  • You must hold a NEBOSH Diploma or a Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent qualification). Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) at Chartered or Graduate level is essential.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a health and safety role, ideally within the public sector or local government.
  • A solid understanding of current and upcoming health and safety legislation and the ability to interpret and apply this to diverse situations.

The estimated salary for this position is £55,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
