About the Role


Vida Healthcare is seeking a reliable and hardworking Patient Support Team Member to join our team on a part or full-time basis.


This role will involve working shifts between 8am and 6:30pm, with opportunities to cover morning and afternoon sessions.


Full training will be provided to the successful candidate, and you will be assigned a main base, with the position involving multisite working.


Candidates must have good communication skills, be well-spoken and approachable, enthusiastic and able to multitask.


The main responsibilities of the role include:



  • Maintaining a professional and effective receptionist service to patients.
  • Providing telephone and face-to-face access for patients to book, cancel and check appointments as per the patient's request.
  • Supporting patients who may have a problem or complaint.
  • Undertaking basic prescription administration training and ensuring that queries are answered in the absence of prescription team colleagues.
  • Engaging in customer services processes and policy to provide a high-quality internal and external service standard.
  • Participating in any training indicated by the senior receptionist or upper management, as appropriate for personal and professional development.
  • Other relevant duties, including projects, as agreed with the senior receptionist.

  • GCSE level education, with English being one of those GCSEs passed, or two years of working experience.
  • Previous computer training and experience.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information.
  • Experience within a customer service environment.

The following skills and experience are also desirable:



  • Previous experience using SystmOne.
  • Entry-level knowledge of emails and Microsoft products.
  • Previous experience of working within the NHS or in a call-centre setting.
