This is a temporary position with our company, requiring a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver to perform transportation duties.

  • Working Hours: 06:30 - 17:00, 50 hours per week
  • Pay: £16.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate Class 1 (LGV C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
  • Transport goods to designated locations as per delivery schedule, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring they are safely secured and handled with care, in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any issues encountered.
  • Communicate effectively with the transport team regarding any delays or issues, providing regular updates and status reports.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 1 (LGV C+E) driving license.
  • CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and Digital Tachograph card.
  • Previous experience as a Class 1 Driver is preferred, with a strong understanding of UK road regulations and transportation laws.
  • Good understanding of company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
