Job Title: Medical Administrator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Medical Administrator to join our team at Whitchurch Hospital. As the first point of contact for phone calls and visitors to the ward, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and supporting clinical staff with administrative tasks.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Act as the first point of contact for phone calls and visitors to the ward, providing a warm and welcoming experience for patients and their families.
  • Assist with arranging patient transport and dealing with outside agencies, such as nursing homes and GPs.
  • Support nursing staff with administration on a daily basis, including dealing with medical records and maintaining accurate records.
  • Use initiative and utilize quiet times to maintain standards and initiate quality improvements to the service.
Requirements:
  • RSA Stage II computer processing/NVQ II in business administration or equivalent experience.
  • Substantial relevant clerical experience, including customer care, computer skills, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent face-to-face verbal communication and telephone manner.
