Emergency Response Coordinator

About the Role
As an Emergency Call Taker with South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, you will be the first point of contact for individuals in crisis, providing critical support and care during emergency situations. Your role will involve responding to 999 calls, assessing situations, and dispatching emergency services as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls, providing calm and professional support to callers
- Assess situations, gathering information to determine the best course of action
- Dispatch emergency services, such as ambulances and police
- Provide critical care and support to patients, including delivering babies and resuscitating patients
Requirements
- Good standard of education (2 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above including English) or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Experience of working in a customer-focused environment
- Experience of using a computerized system
