Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Worker to join our Mental Health Social Work Team at Doncaster Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families to achieve their outcomes and improve their well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake holistic assessments and develop person-centered plans to support individuals and families in achieving their goals.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to service delivery.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals and families, promoting their independence and self-advocacy.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the locality-based approach, using creative ways to support individuals to live the lives they choose.
  • Participate in the development and review of policies and procedures to ensure they are effective and responsive to the needs of service users.

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with a strong understanding of mental health and social care principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of service users.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge in practice.
