About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Student Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN and learning difficulties, helping them access the curriculum and thrive in a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Classroom Assistance: Assist teachers in delivering lessons and managing the classroom to ensure all students are engaged and supported.
  • Individualized Plans: Help implement and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's specific needs.
  • Promote Inclusion: Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track student progress, provide feedback to teachers, and contribute to the development of support strategies.
Requirements:
  • A genuine passion for helping students with additional needs succeed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Experience working with children, especially those with SEN, is beneficial but not essential.
  • A proactive, flexible approach to adapting to the needs of the classroom.
