Learning Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our Alternative Learning Support (ALS) team at Future Education. As a key member of our team, you will provide individualized support to students with complex needs, empowering them to access learning and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Anxiety, Suicidal ideologies, ADHD, Behavioural Needs, Learning Difficulties, Downs Syndrome, and physical disabilities.
- Develop and implement personalized learning strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Assist students in accessing curriculum materials and adapting learning resources to ensure inclusivity and accessibility.
- Foster independence, self-esteem, and social skills in students through positive reinforcement and encouragement.
- Monitor student progress and report to teachers and parents to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and external agencies, to provide comprehensive support to students.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being and academic success.
- Experience working with students with complex needs and a strong understanding of their requirements.
- Level 2/3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (Optional).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
