Job Title: Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and nurturing environment for students with additional learning needs and behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to students with behavioural challenges, promoting positive relationships and a sense of belonging.
  • Collaborate with class teachers and other staff to develop and implement behaviour management strategies, ensuring a cohesive approach to supporting students.
  • Use empathy and understanding to relate to students' challenges, providing calm and reassuring support when needed.
  • Develop and maintain a positive learning environment, reinforcing good behaviour and encouraging students to thrive.
  • Work closely with students to identify and address behavioural issues, using a range of strategies to promote positive behaviour.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced Child Only DBS Certificate (we can assist with obtaining this)
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • Two professional references covering 24 months
