Job Title: Higher-Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at a diverse primary school in Wakefield. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classrooms, assisting in the planning and delivery of lessons, and working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning concepts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to teachers in planning and delivering lessons
  • Work with students to reinforce learning concepts and meet learning objectives
  • Assist in assessments and help create a positive and productive learning environment
  • Implement strategies to support students with diverse learning needs
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of child development and learning theories
  • Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake relevant training
