Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team and work in a primary school in WF8.

About the Role:

We are looking for a HLTA who can support teaching staff, enhance student learning, and contribute to the overall school community. The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant or similar role, relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent, and strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering planned lessons and educational activities in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Supporting the development of students' academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Working with small groups or individual students to provide targeted support.
  • Assisting in the assessment and tracking of student progress.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff to develop and deliver engaging learning experiences.
  • Providing feedback to teachers and participating in staff meetings and training sessions.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant or similar role.
  • Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in various educational settings.
  • A genuine passion for education and helping students achieve their full potential.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
