The Warehouse Shift Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to motivate and direct a team of warehouse operatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control the flow of goods through the warehouse, ensuring that all picking, receiving, and dispatching operations are carried out in accordance with company procedures and targets.
- Manage and maintain accurate stock control, ensuring that all stock is properly stored, labeled, and accounted for.
- Engage with warehouse operatives to promote best practices and identify areas for improvement, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Take proactive steps to resolve any issues that may impact the efficiency of the warehouse operations, including system or facility issues.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and one-to-one meetings with direct reports to ensure that company standards and targets are being met.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with a proven track record of leadership and team management.
- Hold a current LLOP, VNA, and counterbalance license.
- Strong IT skills, including experience with warehouse management systems (Manhattan Scale).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Ability to identify and drive continuous improvement, with a focus on process optimization and efficiency.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
