About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced pharmacist to work as part of our dynamic Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing service change at a senior level, producing complex written reports and business cases, and project management experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the SNEE Joint Formulary, medicines governance processes, and co-ordinating a range of medicines optimisation work to implement local and national priorities across SNEE.

You will lead, develop, and manage the SNEE Joint Formulary in collaboration with the ESNEFT Lead Pharmacist for High Cost Drugs and Medicines Optimisation for the managed entry of new drugs through the formulary processes, chapter review, the Traffic Light System, and related shared care protocols.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure the use of medicines that meets the needs of the patients in SNEE ICS;
  • Promote the development and implementation of clear medicines governance processes across the ICS;
  • Lead, develop, and manage the SNEE Joint Formulary;
  • Support and manage the local implementation of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) work programme particularly for medicines used across the interface within SNEE ICS.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Vocational master's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent + examined pre-registration training;
  • Pre-registration training or foundation year training completed;
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council;
  • Diploma in clinical pharmacy/general pharmacy practice (or equivalent);
  • Evidence of and commitment to continuing professional development;
