Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist

SENDirect is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at a thriving special needs school in Braintree. As part of a multidisciplinary therapy team, you will work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapy to students with diverse communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized Speech and Language Therapy sessions to students, both one-on-one and in groups, within a special educational needs setting.
  • Conduct assessments and develop therapy plans tailored to individual student needs.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support student well-being and communication development.
  • Uphold the school's reputation for evidence-based, quality practice.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent) and HCPC registration.
  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic interventions for speech and language development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to develop and deliver individualised therapy plans.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
