We are currently looking for a Senior Radar Systems Engineer to join our team in Cowes, Isle of Wight. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing novel solutions to complex technical challenges and collaborating with specialists across different engineering disciplines.

About the Role:

  • Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer.
  • Location: Cowes, Isle of Wight (on-site full-time).
  • Salary: up to £70,600 per annum dependent upon experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Evolving our radar portfolio of existing and brand-new radar products to address emerging and future threats in the realm of Future Air Dominance.
  2. Developing novel solutions to complex technical challenges and emerging issues for Multi-Function Radar Systems.
  3. Applying a breadth of knowledge, skills, and experience of Systems Engineering principles, techniques, and governance to steer and develop technical solutions and resolve engineering issues.
  4. Leading the decomposition of requirements to system and sub-system level and managing these in an approved toolset such as IBM DOORS Next.
  5. Defining and articulating system acceptance strategies and acceptance evidence demonstrating system performance across a wide range of operational scenarios to internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Directing and undertaking system integration, test planning, and execution.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrates understanding and experience of Systems Engineering which could include knowledge of Systems Engineering standards.
  • A good understanding of factors that can affect the real-world performance of sensing systems and how these can impact the accuracy and timeliness of measurements in order to meet challenging design objectives and requirements.
  • Must be eligible to apply for SC clearance and, therefore, must hold a British passport and have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years.
