About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Freight Development Manager to join our team at Red Recruit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within the Freight Forwarding industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with Operations Team: Develop comprehensive proposals and pricing strategies, ensuring the operations team is informed of client plans and challenges.
  • Client Relationship Management: Regularly meet with clients to maintain relationships, ensuring excellent levels of communication.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate contract terms and conditions, ensuring profitability and adherence to company policies.
  • Customer Service: Deal with all invoice customer queries in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Commercial Awareness: Good understanding of commercial principles and practices.
  • Negotiation and Presentation Skills: Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills, with a persuasive and consultative approach.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build lasting relationships with clients.
  • IT Knowledge: Good level of IT knowledge, including proficiency in Excel and Outlook.
