We're seeking a skilled Project Cost Capability Lead to join our team at Babcock International Group. As a key member of our Mission Systems business, you'll play a crucial role in developing and maintaining a strong project estimating and cost management community, capability, and culture.

The Role

As a Project Cost Capability Lead, you'll be responsible for leading a community of individuals specialized in estimating and cost management. Your day-to-day tasks will include professional development, mentoring, and coaching, as well as working with the PM&PC Function Operations Lead to generate a pipeline of qualified and experienced estimating and cost management professionals.

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience of project estimating and cost management/control techniques and approaches, including estimating, forecasting, performance reporting (i.e. EVM), and quantitative risk analysis.
  • Comprehensive experience of delivering/leading estimating and cost management within projects and programmes for large and technically complex equipment or system delivery contracts.
  • Experience of using, or working alongside, related software tools such as MSP, P6, Active Risk Manager, RiskHive, Deltec Cobra, Safran, or Primavera Risk Analyser.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to interact successfully at all levels.

This role is full-time and offers flexible hybrid working, with two days per week in the office and the remainder working from home.
