Electrical Engineering Lead

We are excited to offer an exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Electronics Specialist to join our team at Link Talent. As a key member of our electrical engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing the electrical architecture of our vehicles.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable expertise in LV and HV system design in automotive applications, with experience working with industry-standard software such as Visio and Arcadia. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine the electrical architecture of our vehicles, ensuring compliance with latest legislative, functional safety, cost, and performance standards.
- Control the design and specification of low voltage wiring harnesses, guiding mechanical design engineers on best practices for routing and securing of harnesses.
- Act as the primary point of contact with external suppliers for prototype wire harness manufacturing, performing all calculations and specifications for LV and HV component sizing.
- Create and maintain schematics in industry-standard software, controlling the release of updates and writing end-of-line pass/fail requirements and signoff procedures.
- Support control systems team in software development, testing, analysis, and evaluation, working closely with programme management and engineering lead to move designs through milestones & gateways in a timely fashion.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable expertise in LV and HV system design in automotive applications, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Fluent in industry-standard software such as Visio and Arcadia, with strong understanding of LV and HV component design & construction.
- High standards for documentation and organisation, with discipline in release procedures, drawing and parts tracking.
- Ability to create and maintain their own momentum in the workplace, with evidence of lateral thinking in agile environments.
Estimated Salary:$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and location.
