Job Title: Tax Assistant Manager – Corporate Tax Compliance and Advisory

We are seeking an experienced Tax Assistant Manager to join our Corporate Tax Compliance and Advisory team in Manchester. As a key member of the team, you will provide corporate tax advice to a broad range of clients, helping them achieve their commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide corporate tax advice to clients, including compliance and advisory services
  • Work with Senior Managers and Managers on larger client accounts
  • Undertake tax advisory projects, including researching technical topics and working with other areas of UK tax
  • Ensure clients are kept up to date with emerging corporate and wider tax developments
  • Deliver UK corporation tax compliance services
  • Supervise junior members of staff and provide coaching to support their development
  • Assist Managers and Senior Managers with client account management
Requirements:
  • Qualified CTA or ACA/CA or equivalent
  • UK corporation tax experience
  • Ability to analyse problems, identify core issues, investigate, evaluate, and integrate information
  • Communicate with impact, in a way that is open, honest, consistent, and clear
  • Sustain a high level of drive, show enthusiasm and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work
  • Take personal responsibility and accountability for managing own work and juggling competing priorities
  • Continuously learn from experiences, seeking out feedback and development opportunities
  • Coach less experienced staff, giving clear directions and constructive feedback
  • Work in a cooperative, respectful manner with colleagues, clients, and the wider community
