As a key member of our team at SGS, you will be responsible for providing technical and legislative support to our clients at our Immingham location. This role involves examining clients' assets, reporting on their suitability, defects, omissions, and observations relative to the inspection as per your authorized category and scope.

You will be undertaking statutory inspections as required to ensure customers' needs are met in a safe, accurate, and timely manner. Your findings will be reported in a manner that supports prompt reporting, and you will produce compliant technical inspection reports in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will mobilize from a pre-defined 'home based' location to carry out high-quality, consistent, and professional inspections. These inspections will ensure that various pressure equipment is compliant with current regulatory and statutory requirements, meeting the specification of the governing work order.

Qualifications
  • Education: Incorporated Engineer (or HNC with relevant experience) RG Category 2, or Engineering Technician (or ONC with relevant experience) RG Category 3 and 4(a) or trained in a relevant engineering discipline with a recognized and documented engineering apprenticeship RG Category 4(b).
  • Desirable:
    • Education: HNC or HND in a relevant engineering discipline RG category 2
    • A member of a professional organization which has accredited both training, CPD and Knowledge. I.Eng level or equivalent.
    • A proven training record including C.P.D. in the disciplines of applicable statutory examination supported by a traceable specific applicable engineering background with indentured apprenticeship.
    • CCSNG Passport to Safety
    • Specialist training LEEA qualifications
    • IOSH Working Safely
    • IPAF Certificate
    • Confined Space Certificate
    • Working at Heights certificate
    • Wire Rope Examiner
    • Full Driving license valid in the UK
